In order to meet the objectives of the CRTC licencing agreement for APTN, Producers looking to submit program proposals should take into consideration the Aboriginal contingency of their submission(s). For example, the following guidelines may apply:
Submissions by a Production organization having 100% representation within their production team (Aboriginal producer, director, writer and talent) may take priority over those with less. Furthermore, aboriginal producers involved in co-productions will also be encouraged. Thereafter, the selection committee in conjuction with the Program Director will establish other paramaters that are more definitive in determing what constitutes an aboriginal production. It is important to note, production of Aboriginal content material produced by a non-aboriginal production team does not neccessarily exclude the program from consideration.
